CSD Dialup (PPP) Setup instructions for Windows 98 or Windows ME

You will need the following information:

• Your user name (login ID)
• Your password
• 56k Dial-up Number: 303-583-3000
• Primary DNS address: 198.80.11.116
• Secondary DNS address: 204.181.152.140

1. Double-click My Computer.




2. Double-click Dial-up Networking.

3. In the "Dial-Up Networking" window, double-click Make New Connection.

4. On the first screen, enter CSD as the name of the computer you are dialing.
For "Select a device", select your modem
Note: Your modem will most likely have a different name than the example shown here.

Click Next.

5. On the next screen, enter 303 583-3000 for the area code and telephone number.

Click Next.

6. This will take you to the last screen of the wizard:

Click Finish.

7. The CSD icon now appears in the "Dial-Up Networking" window.

8. Right-click the CSD icon and select Properties.

9. Select the Server Types tab at the top of the window.
Makre sure Enable software compression and TCP/IP are the only items checked.




Then click the TCP/IP Settings button near the bottom of the window.

10. Makre sure Server assigned IP address is selected at the top of the window.
Then, select Specify name server addresses near the middle of the window.
For the Primary DNS, enter 198.80.11.116
For the Secondary DNS, enter 204.181.152.140

Click OK to save the settings in the TCP/IP window.
Then click OK to save the settings in the CSD window.

11. In the "Dial-Up Networking" window, right-click the CSD icon and click Create Shortcut. Answer Yes when it asks you if you would like to create the shortcut on the desktop.

You will now see a Shortcut like this on your desktop:

You are now ready to connect to the Internet.

Double Click the CSD icon on your Desktop to connect to the Internet.
